Japan’s Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi will offer an antiterrorism training program in fiscal 2003 for government officials from developing countries, inside sources say. Koizumi is expected to discuss the “Koizumi Initiative” during the annual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit on October 26 and 27 in Los Cabos, Mexico. His initiative aims to fight terrorism and enhance trade. Specifically, Japan will train the participants in seven fields, including crisis management, immigration administration, and customs cooperation.
