CHINA—The latest population survey result shows, "Wang" as the most popular surname in China, around 92,881,000 Chinese people's surnames is Wang which accounts for 7.25 percent of the Chinese population.

According to China News report, the second most popular surname in China is "Li." Around 92,074,000 people's surname is Li, accounts for 7.19 percent of the total Chinese population.

The third popular surname is "Zhang." Around 87,502,000 surnames are Zhang, which is 6.83 percent of the total population.

Besides these names the survey found that there are ten surnames with over 20,000,000 people, they are Wang, Li, Zhang, Liu, Chen, Yang, Huang, Zhao, Wu and Zhou.

And there are 12 surnames with over 10,000,000 people, they are Xu, Sun, Ma, Zhu, Hu, Guo, He, Gao, Lin, Luo, Zheng and Liang.
