Home > South Asia > India opposes WB arbitration on Baglihar ANI 1/19/2005 New Delhi: India on Tuesday said that Pakistan's decision to seek World Bank's arbitration to resolve differences over construction of Baglihar dam in Jammu and Kashmir was not justified. "We do not believe that the reference to World Bank is justified," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Navtej Sarna told reporters here. "Our view has been that during the detailed discussions held at the level of Secretaries of Water Resources recently, there has been some convergence. We believe that through continued technical discussions, further convergence would be promoted," he said. |
