South Korea proposes to hold military talks with North Korea

Seoul: South Korea on Thursday proposed holding military talks with North Korea to ease tensions on the peninsula, Seoul's Unification Minister Jeong Se-Hyun said. Minister Jeong told a weekly briefing he sent a message early on Thursday to Pyongyang that both Koreas hold a military generals' meeting as agreed in the cabinet-level talks earlier this month. "We proposed a date for the talks, but will disclose the schedules after fine tuning them with North Korea," Jeong said
