Indian shares down more than one percent after interim budget

Mumbai: Shares fell more than one percent on Tuesday after the government's interim budget announcements fell short of market expectations. The 30-issue Bombay Stock Exchange index ennded down 1.31 percent at 5,620.98 points-its lowest close in nearly two weeks. Declining issues beat advancing issues 1479 to 289. The 50-issue National Stock Exchange index shed 2.25 percent to close at 1,769 points.
