CBI raids Mayawati residences

Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party leader under investigation in the controversial Taj corridor project has alleged political motivation behind the raids conducted on her residence by the CBI. The CBI conducted simultaneous raids on Wednesday morning at Mayawati's residences in Lucknow and New Delhi and the Lucknow residence of her personal secretary, P.L. Punia. The CBI is investigating the controversial multi-million project to build a shopping mall near the Taj Mahal, the country's most famous monument, violating the laws. Both Mayawati and Punia claimed that the agency could not find anything incriminating during the raids.
