Bali: Relations between India and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will touch a new high when Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee signs a framework agreement on comprehensive economic cooperation with the 10-member grouping during the India-ASEAN summit meeting here. According to Indian officials accompanying Vajpayee, the framework agreement would focus on enhancing free trade options in goods, services, investment and other areas of economic interest. The agreement would be signed on Wednesday after Vajpayee delivers his address at the summit. His speech is likely to articulate his views on forging closer ties with the Southeast Asian nations.
