India pays tribute to Gandhi

New Delhi: President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee led the nation in paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 134th birth anniversary on Thursday. They visited Gandhi's memorial at Rajghat this morning and offered floral tributes. Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Manmohan Singh also paid floral tributes.
