Despite vigorous lobbying from the Hong Kong government, WHO maintains its SARS warning for travelers to Hong Kong. In fact, Hong Kong is placed in C class, or the highest travel alert, due to the fact that over 165 SARS patients are still hospitalized and several die each day. It is feared that some undetected SARS carriers are still roaming at large in the city, spreading the virus.
