Despite being in the world’s second-largest market for video games and home to the two market leaders, Sony and Nintendo, Microsoft’s Xbox sales have remained modest at best. With only 425,000 console units sold since February, Microsoft now expects a weakening worldwide gaming market, and has reduced its worldwide console-sales estimates for this fiscal year to 8 million units.
