Second attack this week

Twelve people have been killed and at least nine have been injured in the second terrorist attack this week in the Philippines.

The target was a truck belonging to Toronto Ventures, Inc., a Canadian mining company based in Calgary. The victims were all Filipinos.

So far, four people have been detained for their possible involvement in the first attack on Tuesday, which killed sixteen people. Muslim rebels from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) group are among the suspected attackers. However, the spokesman for MILF has denied any involvement in the violence and added that they are currently negotiating peace with the government.

Sufficient evidence is not available to link the two attacks together.
