Plans are underway to build a W300 billion biotechnology research center at Seoul National University. This research center will house laboratories devoted to the disciplines of genomics, biomaterials research, bioinformatics, etc. With a staff of over 1,000 researchers and 100 senior researchers, this biotechnology center will be the largest in Korea. Hopes run high that its research productivity will soar. Its doors are set to open early next year.
